eGovernment quality mark
The Austrian eGovernment quality mark was created as a result of an initiative of the Information and Communication Techonology (ICT) Board and the Austrian Federal Government in 2003. It is meant as a quick and easy way to inform users of eGovernment Web sites about the trustworthiness and security of the respective pages, applications and products.
The eGovernment quality mark ensures users that the Web site adheres to the strict requirements of Austrian eGovernment. Users can conduct business with authorities on the site without hesitation.
The results of the eGovernment cooperation between the federal government, the provinces, municipalities, local authorities and other public organizations are reflected in the Quality Mark, which in turn benefits citizens even further.
Businesses that offer their own eGovernment solutions can show users that they fulfill the strict requirements for eGovernment solutions by displaying the eGovernment quality mark. The Austrian eGovernment quality mark is awarded exclusively by the Federal Chancellery.
